That’s what your perfect stay at the Post could look like:
Arrive in the early hours and enjoy our breakfast buffet. We would also love to welcome you Bavarian style – with Weißwurst sausages, prezels and Bavarian Cappuccino (= wheat beer). Here you’re allowed to “zuzeln” (suck), cut, chew – because there are 100 different ways how to eat your Weißwurst correctly.
Powered up in such a delicious way, we recommend a trip (by foot) to the abbey of Andechs. Up the hill and back down again – it’s not that difficult.
And in the afternoon you can relax by enjoying a Latte Macchiato and some Apfelstrudel (Austrian apple pie) – very yummy. To test your level of activity a bit more, we suggest, that strolling around town, discovering the steamboat landing bridge and enjoying the sunset.
Because now you are finally ready and hungry enough to have the delicious 4-course menu incl. water + 1 bottle of „Because life is beautiful“, waiting for you in the evening!
As a bedtime treat, you can try out a “Zirbe-schnapps” – homemade by innkeeper Otmar – something very special! 😊
After a relaxing night, it might be hard to get up, but our breakfast buffet will compensate that completely.
From innkeeper Elisabeth you’ll get a little surprise bag, which she packed especially for you and with lots of love. Then you’re ready to take a walk to the Ammersee. Just sit down at the lakeshore and enjoy the atmosphere – and maybe a bottle of piccolo sparkling wine will appear magically out of your bag.
At the steamboat landing bridge, you’ll find the ticket for the southern roundtrip. Enjoy the Ammersee, let the Bavarian “Gemuetlichkeit” sink in. We’re glad to have you here with us! We say: Lean back, relax, relax….
Let’s hope you’re quite hungry after such a day, because we have something special in mind for you tonight: a delicious Post-Fondue! Of course, all the sauces are homemade. Eat your fill with the tasty meat and the hearty beef broth – and vegetables, bread and a bottle of wine and water also come with your Fondue.
Getting up in the morning can be fun…if the best breakfast ever is waiting for you.
Our trip-tip of the day: Visit Munich on the trails of Elisabeth respectively her mother-in-law “Oma Rosi“. Discover the Bavarian capital, stop at Dallmayr’s (a famous delicatessen shop), where you can do more than just window-shopping: Go in and have a glass of champagne, look in each other’s eyes and take a toast to your eventful short vacation… If you’re still up to something more, then visit the spices-shop of the German Star-Chef Alfons Schuhbeck and get one of his interesting seasonings or just some ginger…
Come home (and here we talk about the Post) and be welcomed with the probably best Aperol Spritz you ever had. Get some rest and then be invited to the most delicious „Imperial Menu“. Imperial wine, pancake soup, Kaiser Franz Salad, veal escalope à la emperor Franz, Kaiserschmarrn 😊 – can life be any better?
What was the story about the land of plenty? Get up and eat from our breakfast buffet until it’s empty.
As a farewell present, you’ll get a yummy loaf of bread from our house bakery “Stenzl” and a glass of homemade marmalade to take home, so you keep on thinking about us – maybe until your next stay with us in the Post.
