Herrsching - Elisabeth Hellmann is full of ideas. The innkeeper of The Post in Herrsching proved this already in spring, when her maypole was stolen (we reported). Matching the season, she was now able to convince all the surrounding businessmen that giving is a pleasure. "Share joy" is the name of the campaign which she initiated a couple of weeks ago. And according to her, almost everyone participate, "99 percent" she says. With her business partner Otmar Walch and the staff she went from door to door and collected the presents, which were wrapped with love in The Post. Meanwhile there are 550 colourful packages scattered all over the restaurant. What is inside remains of course a surprise. All the bubbly innkeeper reveals, is that each package contains, for example, vouchers for hotel accommodation, restaurant visits or mobile phones. A free flight across the Five Lakes District is also up for grabs. "And a lot of other cool stuff" says Elisabeth Hellmann full of anticipation. Additional presents are always welcome, "but it must be something special".

The tickets for the packages can now be bought at The Post. "We already sold 150", says Elisabeth Hellmann. For 5 Euros a piece. "The majority will be sold at Herrsching's Christmas Market. As every year, this takes place on the third weekend in Advent around The Post. The campaign ends with a charity performance on Sunday 12th January 2014. The innkeepers, Elisabeth Hellmann and Otmar Walch, supply free beer, potato soup, niblets and Prosecco. In case there are any tickets left, they will be for sale at this event. "All proceeds from the ticket sales goes to families in need", promises the innkeeper. Guarantor for this is Herrsching's pastor Franz Schmid, who will pass the money onto the families.
