A real Bavarian restaurant, hotel and beer garden in Herrsching at Ammersee


Herrsching is located at the Ammersee in the heart of the 5-Lakes District in the tradition-rich Upper Bavaria, close to Wörthsee, Pilsensee, Weßlinger See and Starnberger See. Germany's longest lakeside promenade follows the natural shore of Ammersee in Herrsching, with several beaches and cafes along the way.

Depending on your preference you can discover Ammersee by foot, bicycle or steamship.

Munich is within easy reach by a 45-minute S-Bahn ride (rapid transit railway). The same line also goes directly to the airport (1½ hours) and The Wiesn (Oktoberfest). The trade fair (Messestadt Riem) can be reached in one hour and fifteen minutes.

Herrsching is the first Fairtrade Municipality in Upper Bavaria.

Herrsching's local tourist information office can be found at Bahnhofsplatz 3 opposite the town's only railway station.

Opening times from May through October on weekdays are from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
